TRUTH AND COURAGE TO SAVE OUR
DEMOCRACY: Dennis Kucinich in Pittsburgh July 28, 2003 Congressman Kucinich (D-Ohio) was one of 7 Dem. candidates for President who spoke to the National Urban League’s annual convention. Kucinich calls Bush’s lies “weapons of mass destruction.” He demands Iraq oil receipts and contracts be turned over to the UN (instead of Cheney’s Halliburton, e.g.); that US troops be pulled out of Iraq, to be replaced by UN peacekeepers. He assails the Bush “pall of fear” and lies used to cover theft (the 2000 election), pre-emptive wars of aggression, greed and empire. Kucinich’s remarks are applauded without stop, but he gets almost no press coverage outside Pittsburgh. This is the so-called “winnowing out” process – to get the best candidate to challenge Bush -- praised by the naïve and conducted by the national media. 9.5 min.

BOOGEYMAN FOREIGN POLICY - REV. AL
SHARPTON, Oct. 26, 2002 Wash. DC -- "Why do we keep running foreign policies based on boogeyman theories? When I was a child, they used to tell kids, ‘watch out for the boogeyman.’ What you [George Bush] are doing to America is playing boogeyman with us: ‘Don’t worry about prescription drugs, the boogey man is coming. Don’t worry about unemployment drugs, the boogeyman is coming. Don’t worry about education, the boogeyman is coming.’ We are not children. We’re grown. We are not running from no boogeyman.” 9 min. -
